Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis (CODES+ISSS)
Prof Nan Guan, together with Mr Xiangfeng Liu, a former Research Assistant at CityUHK, and scholars from Northeastern University, China, Southeast University, China, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, have received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis (CODES+ISSS). The co-authored paper titled “Rethinking Memory-bound Limitations in CGRAs” was recognized in the Conference held from 28th September to 3rd October 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.
CODES+ISSS is one of the premier conferences in the field of embedded systems. As only one paper is chosen from all accepted submissions, being selected for the Best Paper Award is a significant honour that reflects the high quality of the research.
2025 AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar Award Honorable Mention
Prof Zhenjiang LI has been included in the 2025 AI 2000 Global Artificial Intelligence Scholars List and received the 2025 AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar Award Honorable Mention, recognising his outstanding research contributions in Computer Networking through impactful publications from 2015 to 2024.
The AI 2000 List from AMiner recognises the top 2,000 AI scholars globally who have significantly advanced the frontiers of AI research and innovation.
Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Awards 2025
Prof Rynson Lau has been honored with the Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award 2025 for his contributions to International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV). This prestigious recognition, presented by Springer Nature, celebrates Prof Lau’s meticulous assessment of submissions and rigorous management of the peer review process, safeguarding the scientific accuracy of the published record. The award reflects his dedication to advancing research excellence and fostering a rigorous and impactful publication environment.
Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering (HKAE)
Prof Jun WANG was elected as a new Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering (HKAE) for the year 2024 during the 31st HKAE Annual General Meeting held on 9 December 2024.
Founded in 1994, the HKAE was established by distinguished engineers to promote the advancement of science and practice of engineering for the benefit of Hong Kong. In additional to its supports for education and research programs, the HKAE further engages in policy research and offers expert advice on engineering-related matters to the government and other organizations.
