Admissions (for Direct / Non-JUPAS)

Admissions for Direct / Non-JUPAS
Programme Code: 1561A
Major Structure
This major has a three year structure. Students acquire fundamental computer science knowledge as well as general knowledge in their first year of study. With satisfactory attainment, students will take the year-long course of IT Professional Placement (ITPP) to gain real-world like work experience. Alternatively, subject to job availability and study schedule, students may choose to work in companies joining our placement scheme. During the placement year, students will take one day off weekly from their work to complete a number of elective courses. Students will also take up a year-long project in which they work independently under the supervision of a faculty member in the last year.
Entrance Requirements
To be eligible for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements.
You will be considered as having met the major entrance requirements if you hold a Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree in a computing-related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
For senior-year admission, applicants are normally expected to have completed the AD/HD award with a CGPA of >=3.0, or an equivalent overall mark or credit award.
