To recognize our Master's students' hard work and commemorate an important milestone in their academic journey, the Department hosted a traditional Chinese banquet at the CityUHK Chinese Restaurant on 15 May 2026. The event featured congratulatory and farewell remarks from the Prof Cong WANG, Head (CS) and Programme Leaders of MSc Artificial Intelligence, MSc Computer Science and MSc Electronic Commerce, alongside a lucky draw of CityUHK souvenirs to foster a cohesive, celebratory atmosphere as graduates prepare to transition into the next stage of their careers.
To celebrate the completion of academic study for final-year undergraduate students and support their transition into professional careers, the Department hosted a face-to-face networking gathering at the CityUHK Faculty Lounge on 22 April 2026. This cocktail-style event featured complimentary refreshments to encourage informal interactions among students and staff, while industry partners from CLP Power Hong Kong, Hong Kong Productivity Council and Huawei hosted career consultation booths in the venue to offer valuable advice on career planning and emerging industry trends. The Best Poster Awards for the Final Year Project Exhibition 2026 is also presented in this Student Gathering.
To broaden students' global perspectives and enhance intercultural communication skills, the Department is offering "CityU-CS Overseas Learning Funding Scheme" again in 2022-2023 to sponsor students to participate in overseas learning programmes of their choice, offered by prestigious universities/ institutions.

To encourage students to obtain the qualification on English capability by attending the English language tests, namely the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic Module) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Department is offering the CityU-CS English Proficiency Test Sponsorship Scheme again in 2022-2023 to subsidize students to take the English proficiency tests.
