Zhenjiang Li (李镇江)

Zhenjiang Li is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong, where he leads the Distributed and Mobile Sensing Computing & Learning Systems (DamsonSys) group. He received the B.E. degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, and the M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. He is currently on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing and Proceedings of the ACM on Interactive, Mobile, Wearable and Ubiquitous Technologies.

Research Interests:

We build resource-efficient Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT) systems for next-generation digital societies, including smart cities, embodied robotics, and the low-altitude economy. Our group works across three interconnected pillars:

  • Mobile & Smart Sensing: human-centric, wearable, and wireless/RF sensing.
  • Resource-Efficient On-Device AI: efficient machine learning from TinyML to edge LLMs and agents.
  • Low-Power & Battery-Free IoT: energy harvesting and ultra-low-power, high-performance IoT.
