The Department organized the CityU-CS Research Student Workshop on 21-22 June 2016 to provide a platform for research students to have academic exchanges with students from other research groups and enrich students' University life through participation in social activities. Students made use of this opportunity to present their latest findings in research and had sharing with faculty as well as the invited guest speaker. Most participants expressed that the Workshop had better prepared them for participation in international conferences in future.
The Department of Computer Science hosted a Dinner Reception for CS graduating students from both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on 21 April 2016 to provide an occasion for students to celebrate their accomplishments with fellow classmates and faculty. Over 100 graduating students and staff participated, enjoying a remarkable evening together. Invitation was also extended to selected employers to facilitate students in seeking advice on career development.
