Best Paper Award 2019 for the IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine
Miss Jingyi ZHANG, a PhD student, and her supervisor Dr Gerhard HANCKE, together with Dr Bo CHENG, a 2016 PhD graduate, received the Best Paper Award 2019 for the IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, for their co-authored paper titled “Industrial Cyberphysical Systems: Realizing Cloud-Based Big Data Infrastructures,” awarded by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES).
Outstanding Research Award for Junior Faculty 2019
Dr Cong Wang will be conferred the Outstanding Research Award for Junior Faculty for Year 2019 in recognition of his exceptionally outstanding research achievements. The Award will be presented at the University Congregation in November 2019.

Best Paper Award in the IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM) 2019
Dr Zhenjiang Li received the Best Paper Award for his co-authored paper titled “RF-Mehndi: A Fingertip Profiled RF Identifier” in the IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM) 2019 held in Paris, France on 29 April – 2 May 2019.
IEEE INFOCOM is a premier conference on networking to provide a venue for researchers to present and exchange significant and innovative contributions and ideas in the field of networking and closely related areas.
Prof Qingfu ZHANG named Highly Cited Researcher 2018
Prof Qingfu Zhang was selected for the list of Highly Cited Researchers announced by Clarivate Analytics for three consecutive years, from 2016 to 2018.
The annual list recognises leading researchers in the sciences and social sciences around the world. The list is published by Clarivate Analytics, formerly the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters.
