Dining in Izakaya
After checking in at the hotel, we took a walk at Asakusa Sushiya-dori Shopping Street and randomly chose a restaurant to dine out. Opting for random choices always added an element of delightful surprise to the journey. We finally decided to dine in an Izakaya called Toriyoshi Shoten, established in 1984. Izakaya is a remarkable concept in Japanese dining culture that offers a casual environment typically attended by large groups of friends or colleagues gathering to unwind and enjoy good food and drinks in a relaxed setting. Izakayas are famous for their cozy and lively atmosphere, which is filled with laughter and conversation.
Delicious Meal
Upon the arrival of our meal, the enticing aroma of the chicken dishes immediately caught our attention. The fried chicken boasted a satisfying crispy texture, subtly enhanced by a light seasoning. The well-seasoned fried chicken wings, with their delightful sesame and pepper blend, provided a distinct and flavorful experience. Accompanied by a refreshing glass of iced tea, it was an excellent combination. In addition to the delectable fried chicken, the egg roll stuffed with green onion was a moist and flavorful delight. Each bite delivered a burst of deliciousness, while the smooth texture contributed to the overall enjoyment of the dish.
We had a gratifying experience at Toriyoshi Shoten Asakusa! The restaurant's captivating Japanese decor and inviting lighting created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect place to savor their delicious cuisine. We highly recommend Toriyoshi Shoten if you're looking for a restaurant that offers fantastic dishes in a friendly and inviting setting.
