A Visit to Ōtori Taisha & Wakayama

Ōtori Taisha

On the morning of June 5th, we took the Nankai to Ōtori Shrine. Its omamori is special because it is transparent, symbolizing the ability to see into the future.

Kishi Station

We visited Kishi Station via the Kishigawa Line. The line is renowned for its cat-themed elements throughout the journey, including the trains and stations. We were fortunate to encounter collaboration activities with Natsume's Book of Friends. We collected stamps at three stations along the line and saw the cat station master. We found that this line uses cat station masters and souvenirs to attract tourists, helping to prevent station closure.

Kannonyama Fruit Parlor

After visiting the station, we went to enjoy a parfait made by a local fruit farmer. This family-owned company has its own fruit garden on Kannonyama and delivers sweets made with plenty of seasonal fruits. The parfait was delicious, although the peach parfait hasn’t been released yet.
