About

The purpose of this website is to show the highlights of a 5-day study tour organized by the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong. The trip took place during 2-6 June 2025, with the aim of exposing the students to a different educational system, introducing them to new collaboration and career opportunities, and expanding their knowledge of different aspects of Japanese culture.

The itinerary included visits to the following places:

• Kanadevia A.I/TEC: a company maintaining 24-hour remote monitoring of Energy-from-Waste Plants, Power Retail Business, Wind Power Generation and Filter Presses
• Kansai University Senriyama Campus: recognized as one of the four leading private universities in western Japan
• The University of Osaka: famous for comprehensive world-class research in different areas
• Kyoto University Yoshida Campus: well known for its diverse architectural styles, ranging from historic brick buildings such as the Clock Tower Centennial Hall to modern research facilities with a high QS ranking

The tour was led by Dr. Howard Leung and Dr. Kenneth Lee from the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong.
