Evening Exploration in Umeda
Walking around Kamo River
After our visit to Kyoto University, we fell into a quiet walk along the Kamo River and were completely relaxed by the peaceful ambiance. As evening drew near, we turned back to Osaka, more than ready for a different kind of adventure with some excitement in Umeda.
Shopping in Umeda
We had our evening, dashing through the bustling Umeda district, starting with the exploration of Hankyu Sanban Gai and the distinctive shopping malls like Hep Five and Daimaru. Our main goal was to hunt for some Chiikawa merchandise. We had a fantastic time exploring the character goods shops, which were squeezed in tight. In the end, we managed to get our hands on some excellent finds: cute keychains, some rare dolls hardly found in Hong Kong, and an unusual stamp for our collection.
Wagyu Barbecue Delights
Following a nice shopping, we headed to YakinikuRikimaru for a Wagyu Barbecue to satisfy our appetites. The wagyu nigiri sushi was definitely a highlight, and ice-cold highballs provided a perfect counterpoint to the savoury meat.
Umeda: A Must-Visit
It was a great evening with friends, combining the fun of a treasure hunt for cute toys with the satisfaction of a truly delicious dinner. Anyone who loves unique character shops should surely go search out the shops up there in Umeda!
