About This Website


This website is an example for students on how to build Internet applications using a variety of technologies and architectures. It is also an experiment on website usability.


The website was coded entirely by hand using a regular text editor. My favorite text editor is notgnu - a light-weight emacs-like editor. I've been using emacs and emacs-derived editors for the past two decades now. In fact, for the past 10 years, I've been using notgnu solely for all my programming work. I find it to be highly productive; give it a try if you know emacs :-)
