APAC Forum on Future Computing (Beijing) - 10 January 2026

The 2035 Nexus: Navigating the Collision of Quantum, AGI, and Human Ingenuity

Chun gave a keynote at APAC's first joint conference, the Forum on Future Computing, to celebrate the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Alliance of Computer Societies (APAC), a landmark alliance that brought together leading computer societies across the region, including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, and Japan. Chun explored what the computing landscape might look like in 2035: quantum computing rendering classical encryption obsolete; AI generating Nobel-prize-winning hypotheses; and autonomous humanoid robots becoming part of everyday life. He closed with this thought: 'The future of computing will not be measured by qubits or lines of code, but by the lives we improve, the problems we solve, and the legacy of responsible innovation we pass on to future generations.'
