CX410: Hong Kong to Incheon
Day 1 · Arrival & Settling In
The Journey Begins
Our study trip officially began on the morning of 18 May 2026, when the group gathered at Hong Kong International Airport for the flight to Seoul. Before checking in, everyone took the opportunity to meet up, organise their luggage, and capture a few group photos together.
After clearing immigration, we boarded Cathay Pacific flight CX410, departing Hong Kong for Incheon International Airport. For many participants, this was their first visit to South Korea, making the journey especially exciting.
Arrival in Seoul
After a smooth flight, the group arrived at Incheon International Airport, one of the world’s busiest international gateways. Once reunited in the arrivals hall, participants collected their transport cards and prepared for the journey into the city.
With everything ready, we boarded the AREX Airport Railroad and continued by Seoul Metro towards Sinchon, where we would be staying for the week. The route offered many participants their first glimpse of Seoul, from its modern skyline to the bustling neighbourhoods that would soon become familiar during the programme.
By the afternoon, everyone had successfully checked into their accommodation and settled in, ready for the university visits and activities scheduled for the days ahead.
