Biography
I received my Ph.D at the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong, supervised by Dr. Chong-Wah Ngo and Prof. Qing Li. Currently I am a Senior Research Associate in the Video Retrieval Group (VIREO), City University of Hong Kong. I was a visiting scholar at School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, under advisor Alexander G. Hauptmann between April 2006 and April 2007. I received my B.E. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Yunnan University, China, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. I was with Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, between January 2001 and July 2002, supervised by Prof. Yu-fang Sun. From 2003 to 2004, I was with the Department of Computer Science of the City University of Hong Kong, as a Research Assistant, under the supervision of Dr. Victor C. S. Lee.
