Guideline for Submitting the Final
Version
The program committee members have put in a
significant effort in order to provide useful feedback to the authors, it may
not always be available. Please find the comments on your paper at your user
account at the conference site. When preparing the final paper, please take into account the referees'
comments.
The proceedings of WINE 2005 will be published in the Springer's LNCS,
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, series and be available at the conference.
Read carefully Springer's instructions on preparing the manuscript before you
submit the final version. See
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
Latex/Tex Files:
It is required that you use the llncs.cls style file, which you can download
from http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
Make sure that you follow LNCS template.
WORD/rtf Files: You should also use LNCS templates
Do not squashed your paper by removing vertical spaces or changing font sizes, etc., then the paper will be reformatted and the final pdf will cover more pages than the original. You would risk your paper be truncated improperly ended.
Three other very important points are: firstly, please make sure that there is only one set of source files and pdf files per paper. Any older versions of papers should on no account be sent on to us. Secondly, please make sure that, if an author has several papers in one volume, he or she writes his name consistently. This is not only important for the Author Index of the volume, but also for the author himself / herself. Thirdly, please make sure that it is clear which of the authors' names are first names and which are surnames. This is particularly important for Chinese or Spanish names. The names appear as initial(s) plus surname(s) in the running heads and surname(s), first name(s) in the author index.
COPYRIGHT form:
The final submission of your paper (maximum length 10 pages, HK$400 for each
extra page) comprises of three components:
1. a completed and signed copyright
form,
2. electronic files of your paper::
-text files
(latex, tex or word files) and .eps files for the figures,
- the final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX or TeX),
- the final PostScript file (not in reverse page order),
- if possible, the pdf file of the final version of your paper.
3.
registration form
for at least one author per paper.
Please send your copyright form in hard copy to:
Prof Xiaotie Deng
Department of Computer Science
City University of Hong Kong
83 Tat Chee Ave., Kowloon,
Hong Kong, P. R. China
phone: (852) 2788 8632
The copyright form can also be sent by fax at (852) 2788 8614. Please clearly write "Attention: Xiaotie Deng" on the form since it is a shared fax machine.
Alternatively, you can scan in your copyright form in a pdf file and zipped
in your electronic files to upload into the submission system.
Note: We must receive the copyright form by September 15, 2005 at the latest.
Please mind the mailing delays (Hong Kong is far away from North America and
Europe) and post your copyright form rightaway.
Upload your electronic files to the conference submission system.
To avoid confusion, name all files in the following fashion: Use
always 10 characters plus an extension (wineNNNC.XXX). wine is a
fixed string. NNN is the paper id number assigned to you.
To distinguish several files of the same type (e.g., EPS
files) use characters a, b, c,... in the field C.
XXX identifies the file type (tex, ps, etc.). For example, the files in a
final submission could be named wine009a.tex, wine009a.dvi, wine009a.ps,
wine009a.eps, wine009b.eps, and wine009c.eps.
It is required that you compress the files with zip format.. Use wineNNN as
the base name for the
compressed file (e.g., wine009.zip).
If you have any questions concerning the final submission, contact
wine2005@cs.cityu.edu.hk
