Call for Demos
Scope
The Sixth IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Systems
(IEEE MASS 2009) is a major international symposium dedicated to addressing
challenges emerging from the design and applications of mobile or wireless
ad-hoc networks and networked sensor systems. This symposium will be held in
Macau during October 12 - 15, 2009. It will bring together researchers and
practitioners from all over the world to present the most up-to-date results
and achievements in the field.
IEEE MASS’09 invites proposals for research demonstrations. Demonstrations are highly solicited in all areas of mobile ad-hoc and sensor systems. Submissions from both industries and universities are encouraged. Topics include, but not limited to:
- Architectures, protocols, and algorithms to cope with mobility, limited bandwidth, limited power and/or intermittent connectivity
- Applications and services for mobile ad hoc users
- Peer-to-peer, overlay, and content distribution wireless ad hoc networks
- Location-dependent applications and protocols
- Modeling, measurement and simulation aspects of mobile ad hoc and sensor systems
- Security, privacy, and fault-tolerance
- Implementations and experimental systems
- Routing protocols (unicast, multicast, broadcast, geocast) and metrics
- Data transport in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks
- Topology construction and coverage maintenance
- Cross layer design and optimization
- Incentives and game theoretic approaches in wireless ad-hoc networks
- Localization and synchronization in wireless sensor networks
- Data gathering, fusion, and dissemination in wireless sensor networks
- Operating system and middleware support
- Mesh networking
- Delay tolerant networks and opportunistic networking
- Handoff, mobility management and seamless internetworking
- Reliability, security, and trustworthiness issues in ad hoc and sensor networks
Submission Guidelines

size no less than 10pt), and should include the following:
- Research framework, goals of the demo and the basic idea that it supports.;
- Equipment to be used for the demo.;
- Space needed;
- Setup time required;
- Facilities needed including power and Internet/wireless access; and
- Indicate a URL with any extra information, if needed.
