Dr. Kwok received his MPhil in United Kingdom and PhD in Information Security from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He joined the City University of Hong Kong in 1986 and is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. His research interests include information security and management, computers in education and web-based information systems.
Dr. Kwok has extensive teaching and academic planning experience. He has joined many programme planning teams for undergraduate and taught postgraduate study programmes. He was the Programme Leader for Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computers in Education (2001-2006). He is currently teaching Information Security and Management, and Object-Oriented Methodologies.
Dr. Kwok serves as a committee member of the IT Division of HKIE since July 2006. He has served in many programme committees of international conferences such as GCCCE, IPSEC, and so on, and was the chair of programme committee for the Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education 2005. He also serves in the Executive Committees of the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) and the Global Chinese Society of Computers in Education (GCSCE).
