Pinky came to Hong Kong in
November 2006 for a conference. She brought her sister Panther with her.
[14 Nov. 2006] I met up Pinky and Panther in the hotel right after they arrived from the airport. First we took the Star Ferry to the Kowloon side and then went to eat Chinese food at the Whompoa Gourmet Place.

After the late lunch we went to the Ladies' Market in Mong Kok. It was a great lesson for me to learn from Pinky and Panther's bargaining skills.

After shopping we went to Tsim Sha Tsui and walked along the Waterfront Promenade. It was dark already and the lights on the buildings formed a great night view. There was a Bruce Lee statue along the Avenue of Stars.
[16 Nov. 2006] In the morning we took the tram to go from Wan Chai to Central. The double-deck tram is an old-style means of transportation in Hong Kong.

In Central, there is an 800-meter long escalator that is the world's longest covered escalator.

We visited a traditional Chinese style temple called Man Mo Temple. It seems that the spiral incense got Pinky and Panther's attention.
For lunch we went to eat Dim Sum. Afterwards we took a few pictures at Queen's Pier.
Then we went to the Peak and looked at the city skyline. The wok shape structure is the Peak Tower which is a shopping mall with an observation deck. There were some acrobatic performances when we visited. Madame Tussauds Museum is also located inside the Peak Tower but we did not have the time to see it. We did manage to take a picture with Bruce Lee wax statue.
We then took the Peak Tram to get down.
