Profile:

Philips Wang received BEng with First Class Honours in Computer Engineering and MPhil in Computer Science and Information Systems , both from the University of Hong Kong, in 1997 and 1999 respectively. He worked in the Digital Library Laboratory in the Chinese University of Hong Kong during 1999 to 2003, and received PhD in Information Systems from the same university in 2003. Before joining City University of Hong Kong, he was a Research Assistant under supervision of Prof. Christopher C. Yang at the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Philips Wang's research interests include information systems, automatic document summarization, mobile computing, computational geometry. He is a member of ACM and IEEE. He has published articles in journals and proceedings of international conferences.
