Start date: After lecture in week 2 (Week starting Sept. 26)
Due date: week 7 (Week starting Nov. 1) after lecture and
tutorial of the week
Each student is to create
a personal web site using HTML (advanced tools such as Dream Weaver and
FrontPage are not allowed). The minimum
information on the web site should be a picture of yourself, a short
explanation of your hobbies and interest, your e-mail address as a hyperlink
and any thing else you wish to place on the page. This is a chance for you to be creative. Each student will be expected to demonstrate
their web site and explain the HTML that was used to markup the site.

The web site gives an excellent
introduction to HTML. Important to us at
this stage of the course, he has a portion of his home page that will allow you
to test your HTML ideas as he introduces each part of HTML. Read the material and do the online exercise.

Each student is
required to turn in a project report that will be at least 500 words.
Each CS1101 course project report must begin with a cover page. The cover page will have your name student number and the Title: CS1101 Course project.
Additional components of your project are section of the report that describes the following:
Goals and objectives of your project as you see them;
Software tools used in the project; (did you use only HTML or another package such as FrontPage, Dream weaver, etc.)
Activities that comprise the project; (Learning HTML, Learning FrontPage, etc).
What I have learned from this project.
Attached to the report you will append all the listings and
printouts of you documents that you used to form the Web Page.
