Abstract
In this talk I'll describe the state of the art in cryptanalysing modern block ciphers,
ranging from IDEA and Skipjack to the various Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
submissions.
Biography
Adi Shamir is a member of the Applied Mathematics Department at the Weizmann
Institute of Science in Israel. He participated in developing the RSA public key
cryptosystem, the Fiat-Shamir identification scheme, polynomial secret sharing scheme,
visual cryptosystem, lattice attacks on knapsack cryptosystems, differential
cryptanalysis, fault attacks on smart cards, algebraic attacks on multivariate
cryptosystems, and numerous other cryptographic schemes and techniques.
