IS5414 Analysis and Design of eCommerce Systems
Course Aims & Objectives: This course aims to provide students with knowledge and experience of modeling essential aspects of Electronic Commerce (eCommerce) Application Systems. The course will emphasise the special requirements of eCommerce and the appropriate analysis and design methods. Emphasis will be placed on the mechanisms required for the acquisition and modeling of requirements of eCommerce and the formulation of information system solutions for eCommerce applications. On completion of this course students should be able to a) understand the special characteristics of eCommerce applications; b) understand the issues involved in the analysis and design of eCommerce applications; c) understand the different analysis and design methods for eCommerce applications and, d) identify and apply the appropriate analysis and design methods for the development of eCommerce applications.
